شیخ الإسلام زید مجدہ نے مستند حوالہ جات سے سیدنا فاروق اعظم رضی اللہ عنہ کی شان اور امتیازی وصف بیان کیا ہے کہ تاجدار کائنات صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر میرے بعد کوئی نبی ہوتا تو وہ عمر بن خطاب ہوتے یعنی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں خصوصیات نبوت کا حامل قراردیا مگر وہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی’’ ختم نبوت ‘‘کے باعث منصب نبوت پر سرفراز نہیں ہوں گے۔اسی طرح آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سیدنا فاروق اعظم رضی اللہ عنہ کی محبت کو محبت اہل بیت کی طرح لازم قرار دیا ۔

بے شک عمر فاروق حق پر ڈٹے رہے۔ ان کی بہادری اور شجاعت ان کے کردار میں واضح ہے۔ اللہ ہمیں بھی حضرت عمر جیسا حکمران عطا فرماۓ۔
